Overview

Mental Health Today is a podcast platform focused on breaking the stigma around mental health through real conversations and stories.

I designed and developed the website from scratch, transforming it into a content-driven platform that connects listeners with episodes, insights, and mental health resources.

Process & Method

How I approached this project

Accessibility-first + Content architecture

The audience may be in a vulnerable moment — accessibility was a core decision, not a checklist.

Accessibility decisions
01
Contrast and legibility
Clear hierarchy for effortless reading.
02
Plain language
Sensitive content, no jargon or judgment.
03
Predictable navigation
Find support without getting lost, even when fragile.

I treated accessibility as a core decision: contrast, clear hierarchy, plain language. Welcoming design is accessible design.

A final laptop mockup displays a blog or article resource section with images and text blocks, reinforcing the podcast’s commitment to connection and education.

Challenge

The project required more than a simple podcast website. The goal was to create a platform that could organise meaningful content, highlight guest stories, and make mental health resources easily accessible.

The challenge was balancing emotional storytelling with a clear, intuitive structure that encouraged exploration and engagement.

My Role

I led the end-to-end design and development, including:

  • Defining the visual direction and brand expression

  • Structuring content for clarity and accessibility

  • Designing key pages focused on storytelling and usability

  • Integrating interactive elements such as embedded media and AI chat
